Knowledge Points Series 4 of String Inverters

1. Can a 1kW182 module really generate 1500 kWh of electricity in one year?
Answer: This is achievable in two situations: 1) in areas where the annual equivalent utilization hours exceed 1500 hours; 2) in areas where the annual equivalent utilization hours are less than 1500 hours, tracking brackets or other auxiliary technologies can be used.

16. How big of a lithium battery can a 10kW energy storage inverter handle? Does it come with a lithium battery?
Answer: The battery for a 10kW energy storage inverter needs to be selected and the maximum capacity for a storage battery is 20kWh.

17. What advice do you have for lightning protection for the entire system?
Answer: Lightning protection for the system includes direct lightning strikes and induced lightning. Direct lightning strikes can be prevented by grounding devices made up of the metal frames of photovoltaic modules, brackets, and metal structures of the original building. Induced lightning can be prevented through equipotential connections, magnetic shielding, and installation of SPDs.

18. If a distributed photovoltaic power station is built together with 4G/5G transmission base stations (without reflection), will it affect power generation? Will it attract more lightning?
Answer: Due to the special nature of the base station, it needs to be built at a high altitude. Photovoltaic power generation is one of the multiple energy complementary methods used to supply power to base station equipment. There are many factors that affect the power generation of photovoltaic power stations, including the orientation and angle of the modules, line loss, spacing, shading, etc. The base station is a load for the photovoltaic power station and does not affect power generation. Even if there is no load, it will not affect power generation.

The photovoltaic power station is not the highest point, the lightning rod on the top of the base station is the highest point. The lightning rod will lead the lightning charge into the ground. The photovoltaic power station together with the base station will not actively attract lightning, but will be protected from lightning through grounding and SPDs.

19. How does the angle between the module and the horizontal plane affect power generation efficiency?
Answer: The impact on power generation efficiency varies in different regions. Taking Jinan as an example (facing south, under the same conditions, 30 degrees is the optimal inclination angle without losing power generation), if the module inclination angle is 50 degrees, the power generation loss is 4%; if the inclination angle is 40 degrees, the power generation loss is 0.9%; if the inclination angle is 20 degrees, the power generation loss is 1.3%; if the inclination angle is 10 degrees, the power generation loss is 4.6%.
